Get Secure with LastPass

The previous article talks about the new CryptoLocker Virus and why it is so important to secure your computer and backup your files. Today it is very difficult to manage your passwords, however today it is more important then ever before to manage your passwords. Writing your passwords on a piece of paper or in a Word document is unwise and not secure. There are many programs out there that help you manager your passwords easily and effectively.

I have written about LastPass before and it certainly is the password manager I recommend. One of the best things about LastPass is that you have access to your passwords anywhere you are because there is a App which can be installed on your smart phone or tablet.

LastPass recently updated their software to Version 3. With LastPass your data is stored online in encrypted form that even the company can't read, and it's encrypted going to and from your PCs. You can protect your LastPass data with more different kinds of two-factor authentication than any other password manager I've encountered.

If you have been using another password manager LastPass has made it easy to move to their service. In addition to importing browser-stored passwords, LastPass can import from over 30 of its competitors, among them Dashlane 2.0, RoboForm Everywhere 7, and 1Password for Windows.

With LastPass your accounts can be placed in folders (image below) and you can search your password "vault" easily. Notes and other information can also be added to your accounts as well.
